August 2013
Club reformed after initial interest generated from posters distributed around the village by Pete Bowen. The first informal meeting was held at the Packhorse bar.
Initial informal practise sessions commence at Palstone Park

Founding Members fund the Devon Cricket Board Affiliation fee of £75 - Founding members: John Cranch, Adam Cook, Pete Glen, Tim Lannin, Pete Bowen, Dave Lewis
September 2013
South Brent players join with 3 from Shaldon Optimists to play the a friendly game against St Marybourne at Shaldon's ground. St Mary
Bourne finished on 283 for 8 and South Brent finished on 226 all out.
Second game played at Harbertons ground against Exeter Erratics Exeter 165 all out, South Brent 95 all out.
Third game against Harberton, South Brent 185 for 6, Harberton 141 All out, First Win for 16 Years!
First Meeting With Devon Cricket Development Officer, Matt Cooke, to discuss a Pitch Inspection and Club Guidelines.
South Brent Commence Indoor League in Paignton and win their first match against Abbotskerswell 3rds who reached 82 all out and Brent got 84-4.
October 2013
Cricket Club Constitution Approved.
South Brent Pitch Examined and report prepared for ground preparation.
November 2013
Club receive £500 from the Feofees and £1000 from the Community Benefit Fund towards purchase of roller
from Abbotskerswell cricket club.
Second visit from Devon Cricket Development Officer Matt Cooke to discuss Grant Funding Guidelines.
December 2014
Indoor cricket continues, the team were unable to win any other games since their first game!
January 2014
Pitch preparation commences and the square is roped off.
February 2014
Indoor nets commence at Ashburton.
South Brent CC Selected to Participate in ‘Chance to Shine’ youth programme.
March 2014
Pitch Preparation continues – wicket cut and scarified, grass seeding.
Chance to Shine liaison commences with South Brent Primary School.
Scoreboard constructed by Pete Bowen with materials bought with help from the Jewsons/ Natwest Cricket Force fund.
First Cricket Club AGM Held.
First full season of fixtures released.

SBCC submits a formal application to join the Devon Cricket League, the first time ever that South Brent has had a side in the Devon League.
